Power Generation Design Market Analysis Symposium Held in Guangzhou
On Mar. 19th, to deal with challenges, maintain and unify the common interests of electric survey design market and electric power design enterprises, promote the healthy and sustained development of domestic electric power design industry, China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Association (CEPPEA) convened a symposium on power generation design market analysis in Guangzhou.
Affected by the global financial crisis, China¡¯s economic growth declines, the demand of electric power consumption and the available operation hours of generating equipments decrease substantially, therefore, the domestic electric power survey design market tightens up. Under the pressure of fierce market competition, some enterprises violate the industrial self-disciplinary protocol by adopting low price strategy which cause serious disservice to the overall interests of the power industry. This gives the electric power survey design bidding market a disharmony color.
It is estimated that the capital construction investment of power generation will continue to accelerate the structural adjustment this year. The investment proportion of renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric power, nuclear power and wind-powered electricity generation will go on increasing, especially for nuclear power. The construction investment for fossil-fuel power plant will decrease significantly.
Facing current difficulties, the participants make suggestions and recommendations in the symposium and all agreed that the enterprises should follow their development strategy, find suitable market positioning and adjust operation tactics promptly. Besides, the enterprises should strengthen the strategy of Going Global by working actively to open more markets abroad and to expand the whole cake scale of survey design industry. Moreover, the enterprises should expand EPC achievements and enhance their comprehensive strength to improve the management level and international competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the participants have reached consensus on the persistence in orderly cooperation and fair competition. Under the new situation, only by starting from the point of view of healthy and sustainable development, enhancing communication and coordination between enterprises, and seeking new cooperation mode and multilateral wins symbiotic relationship, can the enterprises break through the unsupported situation, overcome the current difficulties and maintain the common interests of enterprises and the sound environment of electric survey and design industry.
In the symposium, Yao Qiang, vice-president of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation (CPECC), Li Aimin, director-general of CEPPEA, Luo Bixiong, vice-president of GEDI delivered their views on how to standardize market behavior and maintain the common interests of the industry.
